During the 5th maintenance period of Dung Quat Oil Refinery, the maintenance item of the cooling seawater pipeline system under package 4 was undertaken by the PPV Joint Venture (including PVMR, PME and V3) for 16 days. This is a package where the personnel work completely underground because the entire cooling seawater pipeline system of BSR is located at a depth of about 2m underground.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Giang - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of PME Company, Project Director of Package No. 4 said that to complete this package, the PPV Joint Venture mobilized about 300 personnel. When starting the work, the personnel of the Joint Venture had to open the manhole, suck out all the remaining seawater in the pipeline, then ventilate, supply oxygen to the pipeline and install the lighting system. BSR's personnel will check and assess the condition of each pipeline area, mark the points that need painting, maintenance and hand over to the PPV Joint Venture for implementation. After that, the PPV Contractor will clean and paint a special solvent-free paint that dries quickly, with a total painting area of the entire system of about 6,800m2.
